The C-Word

The C word? Nooooo!  They’ve only just gone back to school!

Now I don’t like to go on about these things but have you actually thought about how this Christmas will be like no other Christmas before?

The business savvy amongst us are already putting plans in place to maximise every possible opportunity in the lead up to Christmas.  We are now in Q4, it’s time to get your action plan in place and be ready to start the ball rolling.

People are opting out of shopping on the High Street for many reasons and shopping online more and more.

Online shopping is 77% higher than 2019 and searches with the word ‘Christmas’  in, has jumped up by 80%.

Being present, being online and being on top of your social media will be critical this season.

People are desperate for that magical feeling, for comfort, spending time with family and loved ones.

This year more than ever before there is a strong desire to make the season more festive and memorable (in a good way please Covid).

If you have an E-commerce business, now is the time to think about how you can plan to capture your audience and build relationships and trust with them.

Start thinking about your content for the next few months and how you can add value to your brand.   Some ideas to have a think about;

🌟Tips & tricks for decorating/recipes

🌟Ideas for first time hosts (there will be plenty this year as many of us cannot meet up with loved ones)

🌟Gift guides (even if you don’t sell them think about what would be on your ideal customers gift list)

🌟Customers are going to miss the retail environment, what can you do to recreate the magical feeling for your audience?

🌟 Research some inspiring photography or arrange a photo shoot

🌟Collaboration, are there any influencers you admire, who would support you? Or like minded businesses that you could link up with?

🌟Now is the time to start using a content scheduler, this will help you keep on top of your social media and save you so much time in the long run.

This year has possibly been the strangest year of our lives so far, we have seen businesses pivot, thrive and sadly some have fallen by the wayside.  With some forward planning, scheduling and amazing story telling on social media, you can be ready to hit the ground running for Q4 and make this Christmas one to remember for all the right reasons.
